We would like to take the time to take a look back to the year of 2016 and provide some statistics from within the department.Man hoursThe members of the LFD performed a total of 1,620.5 man hours throughout the year.

Fire units were alerted @ 0702hrs for a Tractor Trailer truck Vs. telephone pole in the area of Rt. 65 and Ferry Street. 309 units responded and arrived on scene to find a Tractor Trailer truck with a box style trailer that sheared a telephone pole completely out of the ground.

The Leetsdale Fire Department would like to remind you that this coming week Oct.9th thru Oct. 15th is National Fire Prevention Week. The Fire Departments throughout the Quaker Valley School District have been practicing fire safety with the students for over 30 years.

309 Engine Two attended training at Butler County Fire Academy Saturday, Sept. 24th for a structural burn training. Engine two was used for access to the third story balcony where students were instructed on how to properly place the ladder for rescuing victims or working off of the ladder.

LFD was notified at 12:53AM for a crane of fire in side of the building with no apparent injuries. The LFD responded to the scene to find an active crane fire that was well contained by the Hussey Copper employee's.
The Lubrizol Corporation and Chapman Properties officials invited the LFD and it's members to a luncheon at the new Lubrizol building located at 180 Leetsdale industrial drive for a celebration of the new building and reopening ceremony.

309 Squad was requested to a residence for a broken water pipe that was flooding a residence. Members responded to the residence to find an active water leak that was between the "Curb box" and the water meter that was inside of the residence.

Station 309 was requested to respond to the area of Beaver St / Camp Meeting Road for a two vehicle accident with injuries. 309 Engine 1, Chief and 309 Squad responded to the scene to find the accident about 100yds up camp meeting road.

At Approximately 2301hrs Station 309 was requested to the parking lot at Hussey Copper for a truck on fire. 309 Engine two and 309 Chief responded to find a fully involved tractor trailer fire. Crews quickly extinguished and returned to service, nobody was injured.
